i’ve been reading a few blogs on buddyslim.com and was amazed at the detail and dedication of some of the bloggers that i came across. i decided to join so that i could be inspired by what other people have been through and hopefully reach my own goal of loosing weight and getting healthy. currently, i am a full time student with an engineering major trying to keep a healthy lifestyle. unfortunently, my campus doesnt really support this personal goal of mine, with foods all over the campus consisting of pizza, fried food, burgers, and very few healthy options. luckily i live ridiculously close to the gym =D
for the past month i have been consistently working out 3 - 4 times a week for about 30 - 40 mins. its been a mixture of ellipticals, bicycles, and the treadmill. but always a minimum of 30 minutes. i have also stopped drinking anything but coffee, tea, and water. coffee - i just cannot give up. i have also stopped eating chocolate, fries, fried food, and ordering chinese food. my diet at the moment consists of bagels / cereal for bfast, salads, and blimpies. i haven’t seen much results in terms of the scale, but i feel great.
i do wish that it would show though. i plan to take another step and give up eating after 7pm. and anything after that will just have to be fruits. so far i think i have been pretty successful, but once or twice a week i do slip up and eat chips or animal crackers. i guess what i am trying to say is that i know to really loose weight i have to be in it 100%, but i don’t want to just jump in and make my life hell, but i want to gradually change my diet so that i can be happy with the choices i make, and therefore make it much more easier for me to follow. does anybody think that my limitations are too strict?
